MY eldest son became a proud dad early last year. Uncharacteristic of an attentive parent like me, I forgot to wish him a Happy Father\u2019s Day. Perhaps, it was because we were overjoyed with the additional member to our small family!<\/p>\n
No more a baby, toddler Ariel is now almost 18 months old. Son and d-i-l have given my wife and I the perfect gift!<\/p>\n
Not all people know how to give the perfect gift. I mean, how would you know the person\u2019s values and what is appropriate for the occasion? The key to sincere giving is, of course, not money. It\u2019s more than that. Do you listen to the person when he or she speaks? Do you take a personal interest in him or her? Do you know what he or she enjoys and appreciates? Most of the time, we take people for granted especially when it\u2019s among family and friends.<\/p>\n
Though small, our family is strongly-knitted. We love and value each other. God wants us to honor our parents (Exodus 20:12) and expects us to be good to our neighbors (Luke 10:25-37).<\/p>\n
Thank you for your unconditional love for God and for me, son. Now that you\u2019re a Dad, may sweet Ariel have the same unconditional love for God and for you.<\/p>\n
Happy Father\u2019s Day, son; love you heaps!<\/p>\n
