{"id":42423,"date":"2021-03-14T14:09:28","date_gmt":"2021-03-14T06:09:28","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/scaccmm.sarawakmethodist.org\/?p=42423"},"modified":"2021-03-14T14:09:28","modified_gmt":"2021-03-14T06:09:28","slug":"personnel-highlights","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/scaccmm.sarawakmethodist.org\/new\/?p=42423","title":{"rendered":"Personnel Highlights"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">45th SCAC<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #800080;\"><strong>New President<\/strong><\/span><br \/>\nAfter three rounds of voting, Rev Dr Lau Hui Ming who is currently pastoring in Kuching at Trinity Methodist Church was elected as the new President of SCAC serving from 2021-2024.<\/p>\n<p>Rev Lau graduated from Trinity Theological College (B.D.), Singapore in 1993 and later from Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary (D.Min), U.S.A. in 2007.<\/p>\n<p>Rev Lau served as the District Superintendent of Sarikei District (2004-2009) and Kuching West District (2014-2019). The local churches that he has pastored include Xin Fu Yuan MC (Dec 1993-May 1997), Wesley MC (June 1997-Dec 2003), Nyelong Park MC (2004-2009), and Trinity MC (2010-2020).<\/p>\n<p>He and his wife Sia Hung Hung have two daughters (Linda &amp; Joanne) and one son (Justin).<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #800080;\"><strong>New Lay Leader SCAC<\/strong><\/span><br \/>\nMr Hii Ru Wei from Tabuan Trinity Methodist Church Kuching obtained an absolute majority in the first ballot and was thus elected as the Lay Leader SCAC. Mdm Wong Hie Ching from Masland Methodist Church Sibu and Mr Hong Yu Ling from Sebiew Methodist Church Bintulu were the new Deputy Lay Leader SCAC and the new Associate Lay Leader SCAC respectively.<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #800080;\">New Chairman of BOF<\/span><\/strong><br \/>\nMaurice Hii from Masland Methodist Church, Sibu, was elected the new Chairman of Board of Finance in the first ballot.<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #800080;\">New SCAC <\/span><\/strong><br \/>\n<strong><span style=\"color: #800080;\">Treasurer &amp; Secretary<\/span><\/strong><br \/>\nMr Ho Ming Hing from Logos Methodist<br \/>\nChurch Sibu was the new SCAC Treasurer.<br \/>\nMeanwhile, Ling Teck Huat from Xin Fu<br \/>\nYuan Methodist Church Sibu was<br \/>\nre-elected the SCAC Secretary.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>45th SCAC New President After three rounds of voting, Rev Dr Lau Hui Ming who is currently pastoring in Kuching at Trinity Methodist Church was elected as the new President of SCAC serving from 2021-2024.
