2018 BB Love Box organized by The Boys’ Brigade, Sarawak District began on 27th October and will close on 7th December.

BB LOVE BOX began in 2012 with a target of 2,500 gifts. In the past six years, 27,000 gifts were distributed to those in need.

This year the Boys’ Brigade Sarawak District has the same vision and in February this year, the different companies of The Boys’ Brigade in Sarawak have decided to work together and carry out BB Love Box as a part of their activity to care for the community.

BB Love Box Care is community project that coordinates the collection and distribution of gifts to people in need during Christmas, regardless of race or religion.

The beneficiaries are the rural areas identified by the Ministry of Welfare, and social organizations such as homes for the elderly, orphanages, and dialysis centers.

The target set by the organizer this year: 15,000 gifts. The purpose of this activity is to fulfill the children’s Christmas wishes through donation of gifts.

The gift categories are 2 kg of MILO or 10 kg of white rice, while the gifts for children are stationery and school bags. The donated Milo and rice are distributed to families and senior citizens, and the expiry date of the food must be at least 6 months.

The steps for donating gifts are: Visit the collection booth, ask for a wish card in the wish tree, and then go to the store to purchase according to the gift category written on the card. Finally, send it back to the collection booth. Wrapping is optional.

An Opening Ceremonyheld was held at the Plaza Merdeka Shopping Mall in Kuching on 27th October. As for the gifts collected, they will be sent to the respective recipients from 12th to 20th December 2018.
