MPC2018: Special Notes to Participants of MPC2018

Dear Participants,
Welcome to MPC2018! We look forward to meeting you soon in Sibu and are pleased to update you with the appended arrangements during your arrival:-

1) Airport Picking Up: If you are coming via flights as mentioned in your registration forms, you will be received at Sibu Airport by our Transport Committee Team headed by Mr Hii Howe Ing (HP: 012-8878655). They will fetch you to Kingwood Hotel and nearby hotels for checking in.

2) Convention Hotel Address:
If you are driving from outstations, please proceed to Convention Hotel which is Kingwood Hotel located at No.12, Lorong 4, Jalan Lanang, 96000 Sibu (Hotel Tel:084-335888).

3) Registration: Please register yourselves and collect your name tag with handbook at Kingwood Hotel Lobby at ground floor MPC Registration Centre on 31st August, 2018 from 0700hrs to 0900hrs. You will need to check in at the Hotel Counter by your own if you are staying at Kingwood Hotel. If you are coming from outstations one or two days earlier, you are advised to check in the Hotel and only register in the early morning at 7:00am of 31st August, 2018.

4) Starting & Closing Time: The MPC Plenary session will start at 9:00am on 31st August, 2018 (Friday) and close at 8:30am on 2nd September, 2018 (Sunday).

5) Transport to Airport: Airport send-off will be arranged on 2nd September (Sunday) and 3rd September (Monday) from Kingwood Hotel to Airport at the fixed time schedules set by our Transport Team which will be announced and or placed on the notice table at foyer of Level 6 (Opposite to main door of Kingwood Ballroom). Participants will need to fill in your names, hand phone numbers and choice of timing for shuttle service trip. The gathering point will be at the Kingwood hotel lobby.

6) Wearing of Name Tags: Do take good care of your name tag and make sure it is put on throughout the Convention. For security reason, entering the Kingwood Ballroom (Level 6) & Ringwood Hall (Level 5) is prohibited without an official name tag. Replacing of name tags will be done at the MPC Operation Room (Level 6). Please seek assistance from Miss Lau Hua Sieng (HP 014 899 6506).

7) Parking Fee: Parking fee at Kingwood Hotel premises will be exempted by the Kingwood Hotel management for their room guests who will need to stamp the parking tickets at the counter each time before departing the premises. For outsiders, the charge will be RM3.00 per entry.

8) Warm Clothing: You may need to bring along your jacket into the air-conditioned Ball room or Hall during the sessions in case you feel cold.

9) Sunday Worship: On 2nd September, 2018 (Sunday), we shall hold our Sunday Holy Communion Worship Service at Sibu Town Square at Jalan Pulau, Sibu (next to Masland Methodist Church). Participants from Hotel will need to drive or walk to the site (around 15 minutes walking distance), bringing along with your rain gear. You will be guided at strategic points along the route by our volunteers (with Convention Orange T-Shirts) from the hotel to Sibu Town Square.

10) Prayer Room: Convention Prayer Room (with prayer items provided) will be set up in Room Perdana 6 at Level 2 (opposite to their Sales Office), Kingwood Hotel (new wing). All are invited and encouraged to pray at any time during the Convention.

11) Convention T- Shirts: Local Organizing Committee members will wear red, volunteers orange and a limited number of black T Shirts will be on sale at @RM30.00.

12) Handbooks: Each participant will be provided a copy of handbook. There is a QR Code on each name tag and you may scan it with your smart phone for E-Handbook via your relevant Apps.

13) Language Interpretation: English/Mandarin/English are used on the stage. BM/Tamil with earphones via your smart phones, please bring along your own Smart phones (complete with FM Radio Apps) and your own earphones ready for use.

14) Choice of Convention Hall
BM/Tamil translation will be provided at Level 6 Kingwood Ballroom (near window seating). There will be 2,800 seats at Level 6 (Kingwood Ballroom) whilst Level 5 (Ringwood Hall) will have 900 seats. Each level’s seats are on first come first served basis. No seats will be used for putting items such as bags etc as they are meant for participants. The practice of reserving seats for others by engaging them with bags or books are not encouraged, because we will have a full capacity of about 3,700 partipants.
