ON 14 August 2016, Faith Methodist Church (FMC) conducted the first service at Samarahan Methodist Preaching Centre in Uni Central, just outside the UNIMAS campus. The service is at 8.30 a.m. and caters to the English-speaking congregation. The attendance on that day was 66.

To introduce the preaching centre to residents, some FMC members have been doing prayer walks and distribution of flyers in the Uni Central neighbourhood for the past few months. So far FMC has made contact with half of the 500 plus homes in the area.
