HOMEnews: SCAC First Prayer Mount Come and PRAY!

with No Comments

The Prayer Mount project of Petra Methodist Church of Kuching West District was successfully completed in December 2018.

This year, 2019, the pastors of Kuching West District held its first “1 Day Pastors’ Retreat” at Prayer Mount on 13 February. After a working session the pastors prayed specially for the nation and churches. In the afternoon, they organised a prayer walk at the vicinity of Petra, to know more about the place. After that they returned to the Mount to do more sharing, praying and encouraging each other. They ended with joyful memories of the day.

It was a good choice to come to Prayer Mount, a good reminder for us to dedicate more time to prayer and come into a deeper relationship with God and enjoy His presence.

Petra Methodist Church Prayer Mount is the first Prayer Mount of SCAC. Living to its name, it’s a place for praying. Prayer Mount will be a sanctuary for quiet time with God. As we all know, the more we pray the more we are strengthened. If we don’t pray, we have no power at all. Thus, our prayer life is vital. Coming to pray here is to retreat to a quiet place to be with God in solitude to renew our spirituality to move forward.

There are three storeys at the Mount. The first level is for recreation, the second is for indoor activity with a small room which can be used as a conference room, quiet time and reading. The space outside is for group fellowship or group activities. The top floor is a prayer room, which can accommodate 60 people.

Petra Methodist Church invites fellow brothers and sisters in Christ to make good use of the venue. Come and pray to foster a closer relationship with God and to experience the power of prayer. All who are interested, please contact Rev Ngian Seng Chue at 019-8877088/082-764425 or Margaret Tang at 019-8194336 for more details. Offering by users is welcomed.

It’s our hope that Prayer Mount will be a blessing to every church member, the community of Petra, fellow churches, Sarawak, Malaysia and even to the world.
