This may be one of the best books that you will ever encounter in your spiritual life. Should you miss getting hold of this book and read it, you would have missed something quite significant in your spiritual growth.
This book explores for the evidence for the truth of biblical Christianity, and answers are provided for any skeptic who intends to inquire the subject matter under discussion and investigation. According to Professor, J. P. Moreland of Talbot School of Theology, Biola university, Californi a, he puts it in this way,
“It is one of the most readable books in Christian evidences…, and that…it will have a wide impact.” And he adds, “Anyone who is interested in the biblical bases from Christianity should read this book.”
To add to this, let us see what Dr Bill
Bright, Founder and President of the
Campus Crusade for Christ International,
says, or how he puts it, and
I quote,
“This book is a must for every Christian’s life and library, and should be shared with others.”
And finally let us consider the following view of Dr Thom S Rainer who is the Dean of The Billy Graham School of Missions of The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Kentucky.
I totally come to myself with what all these individuals have put across, and I personally wish that this book would be used widely cross-culturally too.
Let me now append the subject matter of the book below for your close reference.
This book is headed in 3 Divisions, namely
Division 1 on “Examining the Record”
Among the 6 chapters included, I would single out chapters 1, 5, and 6 with the chapter titles as follows: 1) The Eyewitness Evidence –“Can the Biographies of Jesus Be Trusted?” 5) The Scientific Evidence- “Does Archeology Confirm or Contradict Jesus’ Biographies?”, and 6) The Rebuttal Evidence-Is the Jesus of History the Same As the Jesus of Faith?”
Division 2 on “Analyzing Jesus”
Among the 4 chapters here, chapters 7 and 10 have been singled out for you. The Identity Evidence- “Was Jesus Really Convinced That He Was the Son of God?”, and The Finder Evidence-“Did Jesus—and Jesus Along—Match the Identity of the Messiah?” respectively.
Division 3 on “Researching the Resurrection”
All the 4 chapters under this Division on searching the Evidence are related to His Resurrection. Chapter 11 is on “Was Jesus’ Death a sham and his Resurrection a Hoax under the Medical Evidence; 12 on “Was Jesus’ Body Really Absent From His Tomb? under the Evidence of the Missing Body; 13 on “Was Jesus Seen Alive After His Death on the Cross?” under The Evidence of Appearances; and, 14 on “Are There Any Supporting Facts That Point to the Resurrection?” under The Circumstantial Evidence, respectively.
As each piece of work has been written under the spiritual guidance for the individual writers, your belief in Christ and your faith in Him will be greatly uplifted and reconfirmed when you take effort and prayers to pour over these different writings. This is an extra ordinary and more advanced piece of book and so it is more appropriate for seminary libraries and individuals, such as lecturers and professionals who like to be challenged and want to know more.
