BB Love Box targets 20,000 Recipients

ON 4th September 2020, the Boys’ Brigade Sarawak Social Welfare & Community Service Chairman, Capt. Sim Tze Sian held a Press Conference in the BB Sarawak HQ. Sim pointed that, BB LOVE BOX began in 2012 with a target of 2,500 gifts. In the past eight years, 63,000 gifts were distributed to those in need. Last year we collected and distributed more than 20,000 gifts. BB Love Box is a community project that coordinates the collection and distribution of gifts to people in need during Christmas, regardless of race or religion.

The beneficiaries are from the rural areas identified by the Ministry of Welfare, and social organizations such as homes for the elderly, orphanages, and dialysis centers.

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic this year, we are going to distribute disposable medical face masks to the needy at the following localities of Kuching, Sarikei, Sibu, Mukah, Song, Bintulu, Miri & Limbang. BB Love Box is not only sharing love to the needy, we also take the opportunity to create awareness during Covid-19 pandemic,

“BB Sarawak has imported the Disposable Medical Mask from China for the needy.”

Also present were The Boys’ Brigade Sarawak Deputy State Commissioner, Guang Chin Tung, State Social Welfare & Community Service Coordinator, Lawrence Ling and Sibu Division Bodybuilding and Weightlifting Association (SDBWA) president, Chia Soon Cheong and the committee Members.
