Issachar Watchmen Movement
A prayer movement “Issachar Watchmen Movement” to succeed the M24/7 prayer chain was launched at the First Methodist School of Intercessors held in June at Port Dickson this year. Six prayer foci were emphasised for all Methodists to follow at all levels, namely personal, local churches during regular prayer meets, districts and annual conferences:

1) Pray for the eradication of seen and unseen de
structive forces that are rampant in our country: “For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.” (Ephesian 6:12)

2) Pray for revival, growth and wholesomeness of Malaysian churches in order to be ready to welcome the biggest unreached group of people in Malaysia. Pray also for our personal readiness in this regard.

3) Pray for the key organizations in our country: the cabinet, Ministry of Justice, Attorney General Department, the Police force, especially the Chief of Police office, the anti-corruption department, the military force, the army, the National Bank and the Education Department.

4) Pray for the gradual political re-restructuring and reformation of our country so that we can have a more effective and balanced governance.

5) Pray for Methodist churches in Malaysia to be a Church after God’s own heart.
• Pray for all Methodists to rekindle their love for our Lord Jesus.
• Pray that every Methodist church will experience revival as recorded in the Book of Acts.
• Pray that the GC will readjust the church focus as a whole based on the Word of God and the leading of the Holy Spirit.

6) Pray that we will leave a precious legacy for the next generation, raising our new generation to fear the Lord at home, in the church and for our country.
