Jan 21, Miri – Subsequent to the recent success of BB Love Box 2019, The Boys’ Brigade In Malaysia visited SK Pujut Corner to follow-up and conclude the community project.

In the handover ceremony, 28 students from needy families each received two sets of school uniform, a pair of shoes and socks.

The intention was to assist students whose families were financially-burdened after school re-opened to purchase school-wear essentials for their children.

The arrangement was made possible through the concerted effort between Miri BB Love Box Committee members and the school teachers when the new term commenced three weeks ago.

In her welcoming speech, Principal Cik Suriyati Binti Amit thanked The Boys’ Brigade for their care and love. “Since 2015, I remember, The Boys’ Brigade has always helped our school’s needy students every year without fail. We really appreciate them,” she praised.

Hon. Captain Roseline Lee (4th Miri), representing the BB Love Box Committee, thanked the school principal and teachers for giving the opportunity to The Boys’ Brigade to give a hand to those in need. She reminded the recipients to do well when they grow up and also, in return, help those in need.

Also present at the handover ceremony were Cikgu Jenny Uring (PKHEM), Cikgu Norafizah Abd Razak and Lt. James TC Wong.

The Boys’ Brigade is an international interdenominational Christian youth organization. Officially recognized as a Core-Curricular uniform school activity by the Ministry of Education, there are presently more than 8,400 Members and 132 Companies throughout Malaysia.
